Custom Beach Access:
DRS expertly designs and builds safe, lasting access to your beach that is customized for the unique conditions of your property. We use footings specialized for difficult dune terrain, a wide range of stair and deck materials, and many kinds of railing systems. Our projects demonstrate our knowledge of dune erosion dynamics and building codes. Because each build reflects the unique combination of site dynamics, client vision, and budget, we have never designed two stairs alike.
Stabilize eroding hills:
DRS designs & builds strong retaining walls with deep anchors (unlike decorative landscaping walls) that hold the hillside for decades. We also install drainage systems to re-direct surface and sub-surface water directly to the lakeshore.
Preserve bare dunes:
Wind-blown erosion diminishes the lakeshore experience and drives away native creatures. DRS preserves dunes with erosion-control blankets and with vegetation management, including fast-spreading, native dune grass to hold the dune in place.
Shade the summer sun:
Our commercial-grade, custom-made shade sails provide cooler summer relaxing for many years. Our method of driving 3" posts several feet underground means no worries about collapsing or flapping.
Permit applications:
Take away the stress of navigating the complex array of permit for lakeshore projects. DRS now offers permit application services for building/zoning, SESC, and EGLE.
