Build safe, customized beach stairs and decks:
DRS expertly builds with a range of materials, including treated lumber, aluminum, steel, composites, and hardwoods. Our builds show our knowledge of dune erosion dynamics and consistently meet or exceed state building codes.
Stabilize eroding dune property:
DRS builds strong retaining walls with deep anchors (unlike decorative landscaping walls) that hold the hillside for decades. We also install drainage systems to re-direct surface and sub-surface water directly to the lakeshore.
Preserve bare dunes (reduce blowing sand):
Wind-blown erosion diminishes the lakeshore experience and drives away native creatures. DRS preserves dunes with erosion-control blankets and with vegetation management, including fast-spreading, native dune grass to hold the dune in place.
Shade the summer sun:
Our commercial-grade, custom-made shade sails provide cooler summer relaxing for many years. Our method of driving 3" posts several feet underground means no worries about collapsing or flapping.
